We only have one planet and we all share it. The environmental impact that we have on our planet as consumers and businesses can have a detrimental effect, that’s why we are making a conscious effort wherever we can to be more green and environmentally friendly.
Here you will find a few ‘green’ products that we are using and offering to help our environment.
If you purchase a wellbeing plant bundle from us, you’ll be happy to know that the majority of the houseplants that you receive in plant bundles have been propagated and grown in-house by us.
This means that we are trying to minimise the need to ship extra plants into the UK and therefore not contributing to global emissions and eliminating the ecological footprint.
When you plant your new rooted plant, you can be happy knowing that you’ve helped the environment too!
You may prefer to use an environmentally friendly pot instead of a plastic pot, that’s why we’re offering bamboo pots. These pots are made from 100% natural bamboo fibres.
Bamboo pots are free from petroleum-based plastics and they are 100% biodegradable.
When you order a plant bundle from Grow My Wellbeing, you receive the right amount of soil components according to your size pot. Not only that, the soil that we use is peat free which means the peat boglands are protected!
We have carefully created a healthy soil recipe formula to make sure your plants receive all of the healthy nutrients it needs to thrive.
In addition to this, there is no need to purchase large plastic bags of soil to plant your plants and potentially waste the excess soil that you don’t need.
All of our soil components are placed in recycled paper bags.
We only use carrier bags that are made from recycled paper.
This means the bags can degrade in active soil in less than 6 months whereas traditional plastic bags take up to 1,000 years to degrade in a landfill.
Coco coir pots are also available to clients who are looking for an environmentally friendlier option. We have 100% natural and biodegradable coco coir pots available in our shop.
Coir pots are made from the husk of a coconut and it’s a fibrous material that is found between the hard-inner shell of the coconut and the outer coating of it.
The coir pots that we use are ethically produced and sourced, making it an all-round environmentally friendly product.
